Random Tip: Recycle Jeans into Insulation

Gap is offering 30% off to people who bring in their old jeans to be recycled into insulation. Seriously—insulation. That’s pretty cool. I wouldn’t do this with perfectly good jeans that just don’t fit (that’s what the Salvation Army is for), but it seems like a good end-of-life for the jeans I can’t even patch anymore. Thanks for the tip, Lesley!

Took some long past fixing jeans. Didn’t need new ones so I didn’t get the coupon. I do now have more room in my drawer yay!

I had been holding on to the jeans in hopes of something to do with them so this was perfect.

Thanks, Lisa. It’s good to know someone did this. I didn’t make it in in time. And now the company that makes the insulation has temporarily suspended collection because there was so much response!
