- Toyota Releases Preliminary Test Results on “Runaway Prius” Case – Autoblog. It looks like the guy in California faked his Prius emergency for attention.
- Sewer Release Avoided a Far Worse Outcome – Boston Globe. Overburdened sewers are a problem all over the country, but the Globe points out that the sewer systems in the Boston area are far, far better than they were 30 years ago.
- Save Your Battery: Unplug Your Laptop – EcoGeek. EcoGeek links to an really in-depth discussion of why leaving your laptop plugged in destroys the battery.
- Cash for Your Clunky Appliances Coming Soon – Energy 2.0. A $250 rebate for trading in old energy hogs starts in April.
- Recycling Brainteasers – Slate. Come on, doesn’t everyone wonder if they’re recycling correctly?
- Take Out without Forgetfulness or Shyness – Green Phone Booth. I love the napkin silverware wrapper. I’ve seen something similar in stores, but this seems so much simpler and easier to wash.

Yeah, I work for Toyota as one of their engineers and when I read about this case I noticed some things that didn’t add up from the driver’s story.
The tests were definitely going to expose most of them.
