Are my links too depressing? It’s not all gloom and doom…

That’s all for now. Send along anything interesting that you see this week.

No-poo: I tried it and it REALLY didn’t work for my hair. Supposedly, it can take a month to transition but I couldn’t tolerate a month of my hair feeling like dead swamp grass so I gave it a pass. My husband stuck with it for longer but it dried his scalp too much, so he too is now back to ‘poo. But we have friends who swear by it so, I think YMMV.

Bok choi: yummy veggie! Just sauté or steam, can be served on its own as a side dish (good with some garlic) or as an ingredient in a stir fry. I have some pics on facebook of my 11-month-old eating his first CSA bok choi last week, I’ll send you a friend invite if you’re on facebook… You would have thought it was ice cream the way he scarfed it up!

I loved the way it smelled when I was cutting it up, so I was really looking forward to it, but simply sautéed with green garlic really didn’t do it for me. I’ll have to try it as part of a stir fry. I’m generally not a fan of cooked greens—they taste so good raw!

You can roast bok choy. I don’t care for it sautéed either–it gets too watery.

Ha! I always thought I was the only greenie who didnt like trader joes.

I’ve just about given up on no poo. Today my hair feels like I put toothpaste in it.

They only sell processed foods! And the produce they do carry is packaged in tons of plastic. I just don’t get it.
