Saturday Green Links – 1/15
Jason will be so happy about the shaving article. He’s been wanting to try an electric shaver for a long time, and this gives him another reason to do so.
- What’s the Greenest Way to Shave? – Slate. The electric razor comes out ahead, mostly because no water needs to be heated.
- Speaking with Climate Change Skeptics – Energy 2.0. I didn’t get a chance to go to this talk, but I found the notes from it really interesting. Larry Suskind’s advice in particular seems useful.
- Pay Less for Energy as Prices Climb – Energy and Capital. Nick Hodge points out that by saving 33% on his energy bills, he got a better return than most fund managers. (Via Energy Circle.)
- Guide to Green Mortgages / Energy Efficient Mortgages – MortgageLoan.com. Wow. A lot of information on energy efficient mortgages. (Thanks, Richard!)
- Five Ways to Eat Healthier, Cheaper, Tastier, and Better for the Planet in 2011 – Cheap. Healthy. Good. Their blog also offers useful ways throughout the year to carry out this advice.
- How to Grow Sprouts – The Greenest Dollar. I love sprouts. I don’t know why we don’t grow them ourselves.
- New Health Rules for Nail Salons OK’d – Boston Globe. This is a good step, but unfortunately the rules for ventilation are too vague.
I think I’m finally caught up, but I’m always looking for more. If you come across anything interesting, send it along.
